The Friends of Strathcona County Library Society (“Friends”) is a charitable non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Strathcona County Library through volunteering, fundraising, and advocacy. Established in 1993, the Society has raised over $600,000 to enhance library services and resources.
Friends is passionate about our library and committed to its continued success with dedicated efforts to:
Fundraise
Friends fundraise in support of the library with events, 50/50 raffles, casinos and more!
Support
Friends always needs volunteers for library book sales, community events and more!
Advocate
Friends raises awareness about our library and fundraising efforts to support it. Additionally, we apply for grants to further support our wonderful library.
Through Fall Feast of Words, the Strathcona County Library celebrates the importance of the written word and brings it to life by hosting a series of authors in conversation. Whether you choose to volunteer with the Friends of the Library or attend as a guest, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with fellow readers, explore the art of writing, and immerse yourself in captivating stories.
