Throughout the year, we have several opportunities for you to get involved without making a long-term commitment.
If you are willing and able to help us out, please sign up here. You do not need to be a member to volunteer, but you do need to register with us. (If you want to be a member, check the membership box rather than the volunteer on the registration form.)
Our Privacy Policy
Volunteers, whether or not they are members, are important to the Friends and to the Strathcona County Library. We will use your personal information to contact you about the events you have signed up for, coming volunteer opportunities that you may be interested in, and new items posted on this web site.
We will share your personal information only with the volunteer coordinator of the Strathcona County Library, if you have given your permission, and only when the Library requests additional volunteers for library events. We will not share your information with any other party. By registering with the Friends on this site, you are agreeing that the Friends or the Strathcona County Library may contact you from time to time as outlined here.
Opportunities
As opportunities become available, we will post sign up sheets below where, once logged in, you may sign up for the activities or the shifts you prefer.
Strathcona County Culture Days
Event Chair: Wendy Saunders
DETAILS:
Friends will be hosting a table at the Strathcona County Culture Days Celebration to be held in the Agora on September 23 and 24, 2023. This event celebrates the arts, culture, and heritage of Strathcona County – and with it, the richness that not-for-profit groups bring to our community.
Many wonderful activities are planned over the two days, including stage performances, an art walk, food trucks and more! This is a great opportunity for us to share how Friends is an important group that enhances the Strathcona County Library through our fundraising and volunteer efforts.
