Become a Friend

We welcome your support in any form—donations, event participation, or volunteering. By engaging with us, you become a Friend. By becoming a Friend you’re not just supporting the library; you’re investing in the future of our community.

Why

Join Friends

If you’re passionate about your library, you’re not alone—we share that enthusiasm too! By joining Friends of the Strathcona County Library, you become part of a vibrant community dedicated to supporting and enhancing our local library. Here’s why you should get involved:

Join a network of community-minded people who share your love for literacy, learning, and the library. There are many opportunities to connect with other Friends by attending events, sitting in on board meetings, or volunteering with others.
Your involvement helps fund essential programs and improvements that go beyond the basics. From enriching resources to exciting community events, your support makes a real difference.

If you’re ready to dive deeper, consider joining the Friends board or volunteering on a committee. Your skills and passion can drive meaningful change and enhance our library’s offerings

Contribute to a cause that supports education and community growth. The library is a cornerstone of our society, and your participation helps ensure it remains a thriving, accessible resource for everyone.

“The library is one of the most valued institutions in our community and I am happy to help in some small way.”
