Friends of Strathcona County Library Society (“Friends”) is a charitable nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the Strathcona County Library through volunteering, fundraising, and advocacy. Since 1993, we have raised over $600,000 to support library programs, resources, and services that benefit Sherwood Park residents.

Our 50/50 Raffle is live, with the draw happening March 17, 2026! Half the pot goes to one lucky winner… and the other half helps support our Library with Friends-supported initiatives like Welcome Baby, Wonderbooks, and the expansion of library collections.

Friends of Strathcona County Library organize exciting fundraising events including community gatherings, 50/50 raffles, casinos, and more to support the library’s vital programs and resources. In addition, we actively apply for grants and funding opportunities to provide the library with financial support it cannot pursue directly.
