Download Our Free Book Review Template for the Book Swap Event!

We’re counting down the days to our upcoming Book Swap & Social event, and we can’t wait to spend an afternoon with fellow book lovers! Whether you’re bringing along your favourite fiction, nonfiction, cookbooks, or children’s books, this event is the perfect opportunity to refresh your bookshelf, discover new titles, and connect with others in the community.

We’ve got some exciting freebies to make your Book Swap experience even better!

Not only can you download and print our Book Review Template to add your personal thoughts on the books you’re bringing, but we’ll also have classic library catalogue cards available onsite. These cards are a fun and nostalgic way to add your name to the front of each book you bring, so as the books get passed along, everyone can see who the previous owner was and follow the journey of the book.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Download the Book Review Template (click the link here), save the PDF, print it and cut out the different pages, then fill them out for the books you’re bringing.
  2. Pick up Library Catalogue Cards at the event to add your name to each book.
  3. Bring your books, reviews, and catalogue cards to the event.
  4. Swap books, track their journeys, and discover new favourites!

We’ll have printed templates and catalogue cards available at the event, but if you’d like to prepare ahead of time, the Book Review Template is available to download now.

Why Attend?

  • Swap books: Bring your well-loved books and find new ones to take home.
  • Freebies: Get the Book Review Template to fill out in advance, and use the library catalogue cards on-site.
  • Socialize: Connect with fellow readers, share recommendations, and discover new reads.
  • Support a great cause: All proceeds from the event benefit Friends-funded initiatives at the Strathcona County Library.

We can’t wait to see you at the event! Don’t forget to download your free Book Review Template today and be ready to swap and share your favorite reads!
