2nd Annual Sip & Sojourn

Event Overview:
The 2nd annual Sip & Sojourn is a fundraising event with wine tasting and cultural exploration,
celebrating the unique flavors and stories of Portugal and Canada. This event invites guests to enjoy
wine, travel, and community connection, whether you’re planning a trip overseas or doing some
armchair travelling with a glass of wine and a good book. Guided by a professional sommelier,
attendees will explore select wines paired with locally made chocolates. We will
also highlight literary connections to these regions by featuring library books set in or inspired by
Portugal and Canada.. This sophisticated gathering offers adults a chance to connect over fine wines,
and themed presentations, all while supporting Friends of the Strathcona County Library.

raises vital funds for Friends-funded library initiatives. This event allows sponsors to showcase their

Sponsorship Needs:
● Food and Beverage: We seek sponsors to cover the costs of snacks
and related accompaniments.
● Raffle Prize Donations: We will hold a raffle with a $10 ticket price, featuring a prize filled
with donated items from community businesses. We welcome raffle prize donations to
enhance the value and appeal of the giveaway.
