Friends are important and our contributions to the Library are important. We recently made a donation to the library to increase our support of the Welcome Baby program to meet their expanding needs as well as providing the money for next year’s program a little in advance so they could take advantage of volume purchases. Friends only works because of our great volunteers! Being able to fund this program is a tribute to the volunteers who help us fundraise to provide the extras. Thank you.

Dear Friends of Strathcona County Library,
On behalf of the board and staff of Strathcona County Library, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for unanimously voting to provide the funding to support the Welcome Baby kit needs for the end of the 2023 sponsorship year, PLUS releasing the 2024 sponsorship dollars a couple of months early.
Your enthusiastic support means we can order supplies and get new kits made before we run out, so there will be no gap in the service. It also allows us to make the most of the added buying power that comes from ordering larger quantities at one time.
We are always inspired by how delighted parents are to receive the Welcome Baby early literacy kit. Thank you for being a part of the story that makes it happen!
