The Friends of Strathcona County Library Society is an active group of individuals who have been helping organize and run fundraising events and supporting the library since 1993. We’re always on the lookout for new members and volunteers, and we’d love to have you join us! Member or volunteer, it’s your choice.
All it takes to become a member is a personal commitment to support the Friends of Strathcona County Library Society and a willingness to participate in achieving the vision and mission of the Society. We ask members to join time-limited working groups to plan and organize events as well as help out at the events. For some volunteer opportunities, such as book sales, members get advance notice. Membership is free to all ages, although only members who are 18 years and older can vote at Annual General Meetings.
But you do not need to be a member to volunteer to help out at our events. Just register below with us and you will be added to our list of volunteers and get notification of all volunteer opportunities. Volunteer as much or as little you wish, or as much as your schedule allows. Let us know if you wish to become a member at a later date, we’d be happy to make the change.
